The winter holidays, for me, have been a season to be thankful and to spread that thankfulness to others. I remember as a family we volunteered for a Christmas fair, where we helped paint faces for kids. When I served in Korea, we would dress up our vehicles in Christmas lights and perform a Christmas parade for the local orphans, passing out gifts and candy. And a few days ago, Mei and I volunteered at Crisis, a charity for homelessness, passing out soup and clothes.
I'm grateful we can serve our London community in some small way, and I hope to do more in the coming year. I think it's a gift and a privilege to be able to live in such a great city, and our family should do our part in helping it.
Wishing everyone a great winter holiday season and a fantastic 2014 - here's my last post of 2013.
