i hate running. i absolutely dreadfully hate tying on my sneakers and going for a run. i have no idea why some people enjoy it.
when running in a group though, i motivate myself by muttering "beat somebody", or "beat the person ahead of you". it's an old habit to motivate myself through short sprints.
sometimes it's hard to see the far-away goals and to motivate yourself to it. but by breaking down things into smaller goals, it makes the journey more manageable.
