I’m a naturally active person, and I naturally hate lulls in activity. The absence of activity makes me antsy, as if I’m not doing enough to make progress. I’m not attacking anything external.
But over time, I’ve learned that lulls are a great opportunity to turn inwards. That precious time is important to think about what didn’t work in the past and to think about how to improve for the future, and to make objective decisions.
I’ve come to now realize that when the external environment is in a lull, it’s a good time to turn inwards.
