I had a chance to catch up with my old friend Armine from Wicastr, a founder doing amazing things on a country level and someone I’ve shared entrepreneurial lessons with since our time in London. We talked about life since then and the importance of allowing drift to happen.
Drift as we defined it was the active process of waiting and going along with momentum. It is the opposite of actively managing and creating momentum, or powering through explicitly set goals.
We analyzed how our paths had worked out so far, both personal and professional. We then realized that the opportunities for growth came only when we drifted. Moreover, it was when we decided to take the drifted path that our growth really took off.
